We hope you will contribute photographs and writings by and about people living with HIV/AIDS, who have died of AIDS, or who are caretakers of people with HIV/AIDS to the Postive Visions Archive.

DISCLAIMER - READ BEFORE SUBMITTING
In submitting images and writings, I understand that although precautions will be taken, I cannot hold Collected Visions, Lorie Novak, New York University, or any museum or service provider associated with the project responsible if my images are taken off the Web Site, and/or used by others. In submitting my photographs, I am giving permission for my images to be used in all aspects of the Collected Visions project. We will consider all submissions, but we cannot guarantee that all photos submitted will be added to the archive.

To submit images over the internet: Please take the time to read the instructions carefully on the formats we can accept and the additional information we need. We take submissions via email to cvisions@cat.nyu.edu or via snail mail.

File Formats: We can accept JPEG, PICT, PNG, TIFF, Photoshop files at a resolution of 72 dpi or higher. Compressed files directly from digital cameras work great.

Image Sizes:
Sizes for use on the Web and possible use in
Lorie Novak's Collected Visions Installation:
at least 1200 pixels(w) x 800 pixels or larger at 150 dpi

Sizes for Collected Visions on the Web only:
vertical images- 600 pixels high by whatever at 72 dpi or larger
horizontal images- 600 pixels wide by whatever at 72 dpi or larger
square images- 600 x 600 pixels at 72 dpi or larger

Additional Information We Need: When you mail or email your photograph as an attachment, please include your story, memorial, or other writing as well as the following information that we need for our database:

• Time Period: early or late 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, etc.
• Caption for photo
• Who is in the Photo: i.e., sisters, mother/children, friends, couple etc.
• Where photo was taken: if US, what state; if non US, what country
• Categories that aren't obvious: vacation, religious ceremony, birthday party, holiday, dressed up, graduation, at home, etc.
• Don't forget to include writing you want to accompany the photograph in the Positive Visions Gallery.

Snail Mail
You can always use good old regular mail to send us your snapshots, and Collected Visions will pay return postage. PLEASE NOTE: Although the greatest care will be taken, we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage to the photographs.
