These photographs were created in 1984-85. They are family snapshots of my immediate family which I projected onto myself and my environment. The interest I had at the time was to conjure up in a visual way the personal memory I had of these family members (most of whom had died). I remember experiencing fear when I composed and exposed the film perhaps because although only projections they commanded such presence and as I said my family had died. It was eerie and it was comforting at the same time.
