are you my mother?

I have a photo of my mother that is almost identical to this image. It was taken in the 40's by her mother. My maternal grandmother (Blankie) was an incredible amauter photographer. She documented my mothers childhood and then the collected childhoods of myself and my three big brothers. My mother was raised soley by her mother (my grandfather died when my mom was only six months old). Imagine (knowing how difficult it is to raise a child in a single parent household now) how difficult it was for Blankie and my mom during the early 1940's. I am a strong woman now (passionately pursuing photography in art school) because I come from a line of strong women. thank you mom & Blankie for this wonderful gift
