A Poem for my Friend
this you I see is quite so new that the traces of your former self try to seep through but change is irreversible and only a few can perceive and believe in your moment of truth. I heard you call but I just couldn't take the time to sit down. I heard you call but my ears would not convey the sound. I kept pictures in my mind of you in a still frame. Never growing never searching always the same. But somethin' diff'rent happens now when I speak your name, it seems your soul has opened up, and a God has remained it seems your soul has opened up and a God has remained. I heard you call but I just couldn't take the time to sit down. I heard you calll but lately I been tryin' not to drown I heard you call for us to please find some common ground. I heard you call but my ears would not convey the sound......... TIL NOW I miss you.................................... |
