Rand Snyder lived with HIV and AIDS for years and years. Well before his symptoms began to show, he bacame a leader in AIDS activism in NYC. I was lucky enough to live in the same building as Rand for my first few few years here. Gently, he welcomed me into the world of activisim in this town which boomed in those years.
He fought this illness in the streets and with every bone in his body. With his love, David, and many other
friends by his side, Rand died at Bellvue Hospital in July 1996.
